Mr. Salvesen is a business attorney with more than a decade of experience in corporate governance, securities, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. He has significant experience preparing and submitting regulatory applications, responding to regulatory investigations, and advising corporate boards and executive management. He believes that direct and constant communication is key to client satisfaction, and he keep costs under control.
Previously, Mr. Salvesen worked for eight years at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., most recently as Director, Legal Counsel, where he was responsible for managing corporate governance at Charles Schwab – including board and stockholder meetings, subsidiary maintenance, and stockholder rights – and advising the Boards of Directors of The Charles Schwab Corporation and its subsidiary banks.
Before joining Charles Schwab, Mr. Salvesen spent three years as Vice President, Legal Counsel at California United Bank, where he was responsible for corporate governance matters, drafting Exchange Act reports (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K), Section 16 filings and proxy statements, advising on loan structuring and documentation, and responding to legal processes. Prior to that, Mr. Salvesen worked for Baker & McKenzie LLP’s Capital Markets Group in London, United Kingdom.
Mr. Salvesen earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University, and a Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution.
